For everyone's enjoyment of their trip with The Dabbling Duck Charters LLC, we ask you to please follow our rules:

Absolutely NO glass is permitted on board, protecting both our boat and the water.

You are allowed to bring your own refreshments - please no red liquids.

All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All guests 12 years or younger are required by Tennessee law to wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times. Life jackets will be provided. 

Appropriate swimwear is required on the boat too. No obscene or inappropriate clothing or behavior will be tolerated. The Dabbling Duck  Boat Charters LLC offers a family-friendly experience.

Dogs are permitted with approval from the Captains. Please contact us for details.

No smoking ( open flames are dangerous on a boat)

No flip flops, sandals, or open toed shoes! Only swim shoes with hard rubber bottoms, tennis shoes that you don't mind getting wet, or closed toed shoes allowed around the falls due to fishing gear, glass, or metal that may be under the water around these areas.

Please bring towels and apply sunscreen before boarding the boat.

Our Captains are CPR- and first aid certified so you can feel safe and relaxed during your time out on the water.

**Water Levels are not always high enough to boat all the way to the falls. there may be a hike to the bottom. (This can be a short and easy hike, a moderate hike or a strenuous hike depending on the time of year and water levels). Please contact us with any concerns about this. We want you to have a fun and exciting trip and be well-prepared for your trip so you have your very best experience!

Dabbling Duck Charter Rules

Captain Shane and Captain Jaime Green, a husband and wife team, are experienced boaters.

We have captained vessels on inland lakes as well as Lake Erie, and also coastal captaining. We are both certified in CPR and First Aid , and possess Master Captain’s licenses from The United States Coast Guard. We live aboard a 44 foot Viking Motoryacht in Florida in the winter months and enjoy Tennessee and it's beautiful waterfalls in the summer.

We have 2 pontoon boats that we take to the falls that have  bimini tops for shade.

We have life vests in various sizes and storage space for coolers, and towels.

The Dabbling Duck Charters LLC Weather Policy

To ensure guest safety, The Dabbling Duck Charters LLC team has the authority to deem whether weather conditions are “charterable” or “uncharterable” due to weather conditions.

Uncharterable weather conditions are typically the result of (but are not limited to) heavy storms, lightning, and strong winds. Light rain, passing storms, and cooler temperatures are typically considered charterable.

In the case that conditions are deemed uncharterable, we will work with the charterer (Sailor) to temporarily postpone or reschedule your charter to a future date. In the case of a reschedule, The Dabbling Duck Charters LLC will issue a rescheduling credit, or a refund if you prefer.

SORRY NO REFUNDS. When you book a boat ride with us, you reserve a seat that could have been available for someone else. NO REFUNDS unless the captain cancels due to dangerous weather conditions. We will determine weather conditions generally within 2 hours of your departure time. If we deem weather to be dangerous, we will contact you ASAP. Rescheduling is ALWAYS an option. Thank You.

The Dabbling Duck Charters LLC’s mission is to provide a relaxing, fun, safe and memorable way for families to experience Center Hill Lake and its beautiful scenery by chartered boat with an experienced tour guide.

You can visit waterfalls, go swimming, enjoy sunset cruises with a dinner from the marina restaurant to go and enjoy on the boat. You can even bring Fido along when you book a private charter! Contact us for details.

Each seat reservation is $45-$75 + taxes depending on excursion.

About Our Waterfall Lake Charter Trips

Our Cruises depart from the marina several times a day. Please see the 2025 season schedule below:

Burgess Falls $55/person

Fancher and Mist Falls $45/person

Both Falls in 1 trip $75/person

Sunset Cruise $45/person

We will pick up and drop off passengers from Cookeville Boat Dock Marina 13800 Cookeville Boat Dock Rd Baxter Tennessee 38544. (Please park on the left side of the lot near the marina.)

Our boat is located at the first pier closest to the marina at slip number 1009. Please meet us there at the slip no later than 15 minutes before the departure time. Excursions will be approximately 2-3 hours long depending on excursion choice with 1 hour of swimming and viewing at the waterfall. ***VERY IMPORTANT*** Please read our section on Dabbling Duck Charter Rules.
